Deputy Chief Medical Officer: Six filter buses will perform the tests on Wednesday

On Wednesday, six filter buses will perform the tests, the deputy national chief medical officer said on the M1 current channel on Wednesday morning.

Orsolya Surján said that the filter buses perform the tests in Budapest and Pest county; screening is coordinated by the National Ambulance Service (OMSZ) and buses are waiting for patients who have a suspicion of coronavirus infection, that is, they have been referred by their GP.
He added that the OMSZ also decides where filter buses are needed, and now they think that they are not needed outside of Budapest and Pest county.
He also said that the examination – after the GP’s decision – must be requested on the surface of the OMSZ set up for this purpose, the screenings take place every day between 9 am and 4 pm. Anyone who is wrong should never show up at the filter buses, he added.
Orsolya Surján also said that antigen tests are performed through the nostril, if it is negative, another sample is taken and sent to the laboratory of the National Blood Supply Service. The latter is already a PCR test that will have results within 24-48 hours.
