    He explained that the tax would not be payable if the sales contract was concluded after January 1, 2021.
    The 5 percent tax rate includes properties for which a building permit has been issued by the end of 2019, as well as those whose technical handover takes place after January 1, 2021. The latter is subject to 5 percent VAT even if the sales contract is signed this year, so it matters when it is handed over and when the payment is made, he explained.
    He also informed that only those who use village chocolates can use the VAT refund for their own strong constructions. Otherwise, the support can be requested only in the case of the purchase of new real estate entirely realized by another contractor, he emphasized.
    He added that the VAT refund can be submitted at the same time as the application for the check, is valid for building permits issued until the end of December 2022, and can be used until the end of 2026.
    On Tuesday, the Parliament unanimously approved the amendments to the individual laws necessary for the introduction of new elements of the home creation program by 171 yes votes.
