I quietly hug my five kids every chance that I get. I believe these hugs have made a world of

If you are already doing this quiet hugging thing, then great! Good for you! You are on the right path to raising a loving, caring child that someday will grow into a loving caring adult who will carry on your legacy and create a better future for all of us. And since you are already doing this hugging thing then there isn’t much more for me to say to you. You already understand and practice what I am preaching. You know that love conquers all and that love makes this world a better place, no matter what we are going through at the moment. So, at this point, I guess the only advice that I have for you loving and huggable parents is to keep doing what you are already doing and do it even more.

Now, if you come from a family that doesn’t do the hugging thing, well it’s not too late to start. As a matter of fact, it’s never too late to start hugging your kids, even if they are now adults themselves. Yes, these hugs will feel weird in the beginning, but just like a new pair of shoes, the two of you will eventually get used to it, and it will even become comforting and natural at some point.

Now, as my Granddaddy always said, “Go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us.” Remember to hug often because it strengthens our family bonds and may do more good than anything else. Don’t let another day go by without quiet hugs that speak and teach in volumes. And once again, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
